Terms of Service

Welcome to Grezi! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Grezi mobile application (the "App") operated by Drumil Mahajan ("we," "our," or "us").

By downloading, installing, or using Grezi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Grezi is a vocabulary learning application designed to help users prepare for standardized tests like the GRE. The App provides:

  • Daily vocabulary lessons with stories and context
  • Practice questions and quizzes
  • Flashcard review system
  • Pronunciation practice
  • Progress tracking and analytics

2. Account Registration

2.1 Account Creation

To use Grezi, you must create an account using your email address or through Google/Apple sign-in. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

2.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Grezi. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to abuse features, trials, or promotions is prohibited.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 10-day free trial with access to all premium features. The trial begins upon account creation and cannot be paused or extended.

3.2 Free Tier

After the trial ends, you may continue using Grezi with limited access (flashcard review only) at no cost.

3.3 Premium Subscription

Grezi Premium provides full access to all features. Subscription options include:

  • Monthly subscription

3.4 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
  • Payment is charged to your App Store/Play Store account upon purchase confirmation
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

3.5 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Play Store account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
  • You retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period

3.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Price changes will not affect your current subscription period and will be communicated in advance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or payment systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App
  • Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to interact with the App
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content in Grezi, including but not limited to:

  • Vocabulary words and definitions
  • Stories, examples, and illustrations
  • Quiz questions and answers
  • App design, graphics, and user interface
  • Software code and algorithms

is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

5.3 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content
  • Use our content for commercial purposes
  • Create derivative works based on our content
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

6. User Data and Privacy

Your use of Grezi is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 "As Is" Basis

GREZI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF CONTENT

7.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that using Grezi will result in improved test scores or academic performance. Learning outcomes depend on individual effort, study habits, and other factors beyond our control.

7.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Drumil Mahajan and any affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may stop using Grezi at any time. To delete your account, contact support@grezi.xyz.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the App

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the App ends immediately
  • You lose access to your account and learning data
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will continue in effect

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@grezi.xyz and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

11.3 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in California, and the decision shall be final and binding.

11.4 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions.

11.5 Exceptions

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court for intellectual property infringement.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting updated Terms in the App
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date

Your continued use of Grezi after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the App.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

13.5 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
